The BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival lineup 2016 is here

One of the highlights of summer in NYC—the annual BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival, which brings free music to Prospect Park from June 8 to August 13—has announced its schedule. In addition to the opening-night show with Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, highlights include indie-pop act Alvvays, Afro-beat star Femi Kuti, reunited hip-hop trio Digable Planets and Late Show house band Jon Batiste and Stay Human. You can browse the whole calendar, which also features screenings, dance performances and more, below. The park also hosts ticketed benefit shows throughout the summer, with headliners Herbie Hancock, Tame Impala, Beirut and more.
