The Algonquin Hotel's feline ambassador, Matilda, is set to celebrate her birthday once again in the company of her purrfect pals at this year's Cat Fashion Show on August 5!
This year's costumes, donned by totally willingly and not suicidal cats, will follow the theme "A Feline Salute to NYC's First Responders" and will be inspired by the NYPD and NYFD. The clothing will be designed by "certified animal fashion designer" Ada Nieves, Gothamist reports. The show will be held in the fabulous Oak Room, fitting for a group of cats that treat their humans like hand maidens.
Tickets are $30 (call Alice De Almeida at 212-419-9197 to reserve a spot) and include a reception with hors d'oeuvres, with all proceeds benefitting the Mayor's Alliance for New York City's Animals. And bring an open heart, because there will be an adoption bus parked outside.
Check out all our pictures from last year's show, and peep some of the costumes below.
