When you live in the most expensive city in America, it can be hard to stick to a budget. Luckily, we've got you covered. Whether you're looking for a concertart exhibitcomedy show or even a date idea, there are plenty of places to good time without paying a dime. Here are the best free parties, cultural events and things to do between now and next Wednesday.

Dance in Bryant Park
Head to Bryant Park ever Wednesday night through June to learn different dance styles, from bachata to swing, and don’t forget about the park’s free Shakespeare performances, Ping-Pong tournaments, mini-golf and more. The Fountain Terrace, 40th St to 42nd St between Fifth and Sixth Aves (bryantpark.org). Wed 11 6–9pm.

I Don’t Get It
Matt Schwartzer and Gary Levitt host a revolving door of comedians (like Josh Gondelman, Phoebe Robinson and Myq Kaplan) at this free weekly show nestled in a rock 'n' roll bar. HiFi, 169 Avenue A (212-420-8392, thehifibar.com). Fri 13 at 8pm.

NYC Bike Expo
Whether you’re a seasoned rider or a rookie, the nation’s largest consumer cycling expo will get your wheels turning with a range of workshops covering everything from fixing a flat tire to road racing. More than 100 companies show off their wares, including NYC brands such as the stylish reflective-clothing label Vespertine and bike rental company Spinlister. 69th Regiment Armory, 68 Lexington Ave (nycbikeexpo.com). Fri 13, Sat 14 at 11am.

Hester Street Fair
Guess what reopens on Saturday? That’s right, your favorite Lower East Side street fair. This season, the long-awaited flea will feature 60 curated vendors, hawking everything from art, fashion and food. There will also be a series of hands-on workshops like marbling, tie-dying and shoe-making. Make sure to check out events such as the Ice-cream Social, Pet Day and Indie Record Day this summer, too. Hester Street Fair will run from May 14–October 29 every Saturday from 11am to 6pm. (Enter at the intersection of Essex and Hester Sts.)

The Kings of Karaoke
This serenader’s heaven boasts an impressive song selection, with 13 years’ worth of tunes from previous Kings performers. So gargle some saltwater, and get that voice ready to belt along to your favorite hit. Or just grab a PBR and cheer on a friend. Don’t forget, one drink gets you a free pizza! Alligator Lounge, 600 Metropolitan Ave (718-599-4440, alligatorloungebrooklyn.com). Sat 14 at 11pm.
