The new Barneys Downtown flagship is gorgeous

As of yesterday, Barneys New York is back in Chelsea with a beautiful four-floor flagship that will certainly fulfill every fashion lover’s dreams. And it appears the Seventh Avenue location (between 16th and 17th Sts) has definitely ditched the maze-like and slightly overwhelming department store look you'd find at the Madison Avenue landmark. (The newbie is rocking a totally modern makeover equipped with iPads and Apple Pay options, which is giving us major Whitney museum vibes!)

Inside you’ll find cosmetics, fragrances and skincare on the lower level, plus a Blind Barber offering men’s haircuts, shaves and brews while you wait. The ground level features men’s and women’s accessories including handbags, jewelry, sunnies—the works. The second floor is home to shoes and ready-to-wear for the ladies, whereas men can find the same loot on the next floor up.

From marble-lined walls to velvet seating and gorgeous spiral staircases, the shopping hub radiates warmth and class. But if the décor, convenient location and merchandise doesn’t sell it for you, Barneys also added a Fred’s restaurant to satiate your hunger and thirst once the shopping fatigue truly sits in. Check out the stunning shots of your new favorite department store below!
