Like a sentient haunted house, the High Line will never be completely finished.

Designs for the next stretch of the popular park on Manhattan’s West Side cover a 420-foot-long piece of the elevated tracks located at 30th Street and 10th Avenue.

In the new section, the “Threshold,” a densely planted portion of the walkway, will open onto a lovely piazza. The 4,500-square-foot will be the largest open space on the High Line, and will be used for temporary art installations and events. (Somebody over there better be booking Kelli O'Hara ASAP.) Leading towards the new space a section referred to as the "Passage" will pass under a soon-to-be completed office building set to straddle the park.
