The “rose doughnut” from this NYC bakery is the newest Instagram obsession

The next time you have a special occasion, you may want to consider asking for these instead of boring ol’ flowers. 

In honor of Mother’s Day, Mark Israel of Doughnut Plant dreamt up a treat that combines the beauty of flowers with the tastiness of doughnuts. They’re called “Doughflowers” and are available in a number of glazes including strawberry, rose and Italian blood orange.

The Instagram-ready indulgence runs a cool $5 and is available indefinitely at all Doughnut Plant stores. The chain currently has outposts on the Lower East Side and Chelsea in Manhattan, as well as Long Island City, Queens and Prospect Heights, Brooklyn.
