Governors Island is now open for the season. Later this summer the ferry-accessible park will be unveiling a new area dubbed the Hills, featuring including a number of slides. Until then, there are plenty of other reasons to take a trip to the island, a main one being the concerts and food festivals happening at the Governors Club on Governors Island. While some of those still have TBA details (Burgerama, Modern Sky Festival), others have been fleshed out—the Full Moon Fest, for example, brings a varied lineup including Clipse rapper Pusha T, Detroit techno DJ Moodymann, pop singer Santigold and more over two days.
