TGIF, New York! We are so ready for the weekend! But not before the subway has its way with your good mood. A bunch of commuters were delighted to find long delays this morning after E and M trains had to be rerouted because two trains were apparently facing off on the same track at Court Sq. Then they tweeted about it to give the MTA a piece of their mind. Here's some of our faves, and we hope your summer Friday hours are beginning shortly:
Today's commute=Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. Train's e-break just kicked in. And we're stuck indefinitely.— Maggie L.E. (@MLEdinger) July 24, 2015
@MTA 3rd train this wk im on thats suddenly out of service (F/tues PM, G/weds AM, E/fri AM), so what grand gesture of apology can i expect?— Priti R. Patel (@pritiropatel) July 24, 2015
as one train was exiting another one came too soon & they both got stuck. See accurate depiction below pic.twitter.com/AriBhkykQk— Da Ni ✨ (@Danitales_) July 24, 2015
Oh hey the E train was also delayed last night because a kitten was rescued from the tracks, so that's nice for the kitten.
There were also delays on the 1 and 7 trains in the AM:
And an extra one just 'cause I feel this so hard:
First subway car was full of screaming 5-yr-olds on a field trip. Second is all loud, back-slapping Wall St. bros. Afraid to try car three.— Lauren Kelley (@lauren_kelley) July 24, 2015
