Each year, the Coney Island Film Festival presents a lineup of quirky shorts and features, depicting—but not limited to—mermaids, sideshow artists, and current and former amusement-park rides. Tonight, catch opening screenings (7:30pm, $8) of Birthday and Us, Naked: Trixie & Monkey, and head to the opening night party (9:30pm, $25) with an open bar and burlesque performances.
