Head to the Transit Museum after-hours at Camp Wanna-Catcha-Train: A Night of Crafts & Summer Fun
NYC's epic transportation system didn't just appear here overnight. Enjoy an adults-only evening at the New York Transit Museum to learn about our fair city's history in a nostalgic camp atmosphere, including guided micro-tours, ghost stories, guided meditations, scavenger hunts and even button-making. Oh, and beer!
New York Transit Museum, Boerum Pl at Schermerhorn Street, Brooklyn, 6:30pm, $10

See hip-hop great Rakim and DJ Tedsmooth at SummerStage
As the second part of the duo Eric B. & Rakim, William Griffin Jr. helped make the blueprint for the future of hip-hop. Hear his lyrical stylings after dancing to the beats of DJ Tedsmooth, whose remixes are heard in clubs around the country.
Marcus Garvey Park, W 122 St and Mt. Morris Park West, Harlem, 7pm, free

Treat yo-self at Restaurant Week
The bi-annual three-week-long food festival comes to an end on Friday, so enjoy a three-course prix-fixe lunch ($25) and dinner ($38) at the city’s top restaurants (like Narcissa, Tavern on the Green and Bar Primi) while you still can.
Various locations, see website for details
