The three best things to do in New York today

1. Watch The Killers in Bryant Park
The uber-popular outdoor screening series' second film of the summer is the 1946 classic, based on an Ernest Hemmingway story. The plot follows former boxer who's fleeing his checkered past and gets mixed up with a double-crossing dame. Be sure to get there early—the park fills up super fast. (Bryant Park lawn, 5pm. Free.)

2. Listen to Ingrid Michaelson at SummerStage
When discussing her latest album, Michaelson (a New York native) said she's gone from "the poppy ukulele girl to platforms-and-eye-makeup pop." Well, maybe it's Maybelline, but we get the feeling this talented songstress was born with it. Jam out with her in Central Park tonight. (Rumsey Playfield, Central Park, 6pm. $35-$45)

3. See the amazing energy of DanceBrazil
Among the best dance events this summer, DanceBrazil's infectiously enthusiastic choreography is influenced by movements from capoeira and contemporary dance. The company's fusion of the two marries the hypnotic martial art to ebullient modern movement. They're at the Joyce Theater through July 3. (Joyce Theatre, 175 8th Ave, 7:30. $10-$49)
