The three best things to do in New York today

1. Listen to Esperanza Spalding at Celebrate Brooklyn!
Gramming-winning bassist and composer Esperanza Spalding brings a new theater-inspired project, Emily's D+Evolution, to this free Celebrate Brooklyn! gig. Expect groove-heavy, plugged-in funk—perfect summer-evening stuff. (Prospect Park Bandshell, Prospect Park West at 9th St, 7:30. Free.)

2. Go roller skating at Lola Star's Dreamland Roller Disco
Get groovy in the summer breeze as you're flying (or cautiously making your way) around a 16,000 square-foot rink overlooking Prospect Park Lake. This week's theme is "We Are The Champions—Queen," so break out your '80s glam gear and hit the dance/skate floor. (LeFrak Center at Lakeside, 171 E Drive, Brooklyn; 7:30pm. $18, includes skate rental.)

3. Put the final colored dots on Yayoi Kusama's Obliteration Room
Since early May, visitors to "Give Me Love" at the David Zwirner gallery have been given sheets of neon-colored stickers when they enter, and told to apply them to the all-white recreation of a middle class home wherever they see fit. Your last chance to add your spots to the room (which is no longer white, of course) is this Saturday. (David Zwirner Gallery, 519 & 525 W 19th St, 10am–6pm. Free.)
