1. See a free concert at the Washington Square Music Festival
The 54th season of this annual outdoor concert series, which brings four free jazz and classical shows to Washington Square Park, kicks off tonight at 8. If you miss the concert, you can catch more free music there every Tuesday through July 7. (Washington Square Park, 8pm. Free.)

2. Watch Pale Flower at BAM
This exceptional Japanese gangster flick was released in 1964 and is screening for one night only. The plot centers around a murderous gangster who's released from prison and forms a mutually destructive relationship with a mysterious, seductive woman. (BAM Rose Cinemas, 30 Lafayette Ave, Brooklyn, 9:40om. $14)

3. Stuff your face at the 2nd Annual Taste of Bushwick
Nearly 30 bars, restaurants and shops will offer samples of their wares at this celebration of Bushwick's culinary scene. Proceeds benefit the Bushwick Starr, and all attendees are invited to an after-party performance at Pine Box Rock Shop. Come hungry. (Boar's Head Plant, 24 Rock St, Brooklyn, 6:30pm. $40)
