1. See the Metropolitan Opera in Brooklyn Bridge Park
Every summer, singers from the Met Opera bring their stellar vocals to parks in all five boroughs. This year's series of concerts kicks off on Brooklyn's Pier 1, with a performance from soprano Janai Brugger, mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard, and baritone Nathan Gunn, and Dan Saunders on piano. (Brooklyn Bridge Park, 7pm. Free.)

2. Test your knowledge at Buffy the Vampire Slayer Trivia
Delve into Buffy Summers’ world and test your knowledge about Hellmouth and bloodsuckers at this trivia night. Your undying love for Sarah Michelle Gellar is still totally acceptable here. To get a spot in the competition, make sure to reserve tickets for you and your team. (People Kitchen and Lounge, 163 Allen St, 8pm. Free.)

3. Go swing dancing in Bryant Park
Bryant Park's Wednesday night dance parties continue with a night of West Coast Swing. Never danced before? No problem—swing pros will offer a free lesson from 6-7pm, before the night's 7-piece band takes the stage. (Fountain Terrace at Bryant Park, 7pm. Free.)
