If you’ve been meaning to hit up a museum lately, you may want to try fitting it into your schedule today. It will save you a few bucks.

For the eighth year, the Association of Art Museum Directors is bringing its members together to celebrate Art Museum Day. This year’s theme is “Art Museums Foster Vibrant Communities” and, in a nod to the vibrant role museums play in their surrounding communities, many AAMD members across the country are offering free admission today.

These NYC institutions are all participating in today’s event by waving their regular admission fee. You can find out more about additional programs and special events being held at each museum on AAMD’s site.
