This invite-only app gives you the power to change the colors on skyscrapers

We never realized how badly we wanted to change a skyscraper’s colors until we learned we could. Thanks to a new app called Spireworks, you have the ability to do just that.

The free app has access to the lights of three skyscrapers in NYC: One Bryant Park, 4 Times Square and occasionally One World Trade Center. However, there’s a catch: It’s even more exclusive than Raya. But instead of swiping on D-list celebrities like on the dating app, you get absolute power to control the colorful lights on the city’s most stunning towers (for two minutes).

The only way to get the app is to be invited by a current member—right now there are almost 10,000 members. However, the app may soon offer access in exchange for charitable donations, says creator Mark Domino. We would gladly accept that sort of power.
