Museums can't seem to get enough dances in them these days. On January 13 at 11:30am—don't be late!—the Trisha Brown Dance Company will invade the Charles Engelhard Court at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for a special pop-up performance. This celebration of one of the country's greatest choreographers occurs, aptly enough, in the American Wing and features a range of repertory: Figure 8 (1974); an excerpt from M.O. (1995), performed by Diane Madden and set to J.S. Bach's Musical Offering; an excerpt from Foray Forêt (1990); Accumulation, Brown's 1971 hit set to the Grateful Dead and performed by Jamie Scott; and an excerpt from PRESENT TENSE (2003), set to music by John Cage.
