We get it: All those designer duds, celebrity guests and posh editors secretively tucked behind tent walls during New York Fashion Week is enough to make the uninvited go mad (and we won’t get you started on the sudden influx of high-heeled women stealing all your cabs and snatching up seats at Starbucks). But you don’t need a spot reserved next to Anna Wintour or a trendy fashion blog to get the perks—you just need Uber.
Uber and Spring (the mobile shopping app) have teamed up to offer New Yorkers a special fashion week treat—and it’s totally worth the price of cab fare. On Thursday morning, both brands will announce a promo code, which will unlock a “Front Row” button on Uber. Customers can request a Spring Fashion Week gift bag (170 available), full of kickass prizes—like tickets to some of the best runway shows.
Invites from Prabal Gurung, Tanya Taylor, Thakoon, Misha Nonoo, Zero + Maria Cornejo and Honor are up for grabs. Plus, you could snatch up high-end loot like a 3.1 Phillip Lim leather backpack, an Opening Ceremony Varsity jacket or a Rebecca Minkoff heart-shaped pouch.
If you want to make a splash at Fashion Week, make sure to follow both Uber and Spring on social media (@uber_nyc, @spring) and use the hashtag #UnlockNYFW. And if you’re all about rubbing elbows with the fashion elite, here’s some other free and public NYFW events you can attend.
