Underground burrito delivery service doling out only 100 orders a day

With all the Chipotle contamination hoopla, you're better off looking for your giant-burrito fix in less obvious places. Here's a start: a recently launched delivery-only restaurant called Boom Burritos is offering only 100 burritos every Friday from 11am until 2pm.

The brainchild of friends Zachariah Reitano and Dominick Costa, the project offers exactly four items: build-your-own Boom Burritos ($13.99), a healthy post-Equinox burrito ($11.99), guacamole served in mason jars ($7.99) and tres leches cake jars ($7.99). Burrito toppings include the standard corn, cheese, lettuce and pico de gallo, as well as kale, spinach and quinoa.

Orders can be placed earlier in the week to ensure the duo have enough ingredients to fulfill them, but the cooking and delivery take place exclusively on Fridays via Uber Rush. As an added personal touch, each order is sent in a canvas drawstring backpack accompanied by a handwritten letter.
