Want to learn how to be a Food and Drink critic? Ask a pro.

In case you missed it, we’re on the hunt to crown the city’s next great food writer. We're looking for the aspiring critic out there who goes home after a meal and journals about it for fun—someone with a strong, colorful voice and a passion for eating.

If you want to try your hand at food writing, but are worried about lacking enough (or any) professional experience, that's not a problem! Our Food and Drink editors are here to help. They'll be taking your questions about the dos and don'ts of food criticism on Twitter from now until Tuesday 15. Just tweet @timeoutnewyork using the hashtag #timeoutcritic and ask them whatever you want to know. Then they'll answer your questions on video later next week.
