The music world lost a huge icon today with the death of Prince at 57. If you're looking for a place to remember the legendary musician, a number of NYC venues are throwing tribute events.

Director Spike Lee announced that he'd be hosting a party tonight in Fort Greene on his Instagram.

There will also be a tribute tonight as part of Questlove's Bowl Train at Brooklyn Bowl as well as a Prince Lives! party at The Grand Victory.

The House of Yes is hosting a purple room tonight that will pay tribute to Prince, and is free until 10pm. This Saturday, they'll be putting on Prince performances and holding a Prince lookalike contest at their Thank You For Everything party.

On April 26, Strut! at ACME is throwing a special Prince-themed edition of the party with DJs Greg Dyer and Robi D Light.

On April 27, The Living Room at the W New York Times Square is paying tribute to Prince from 9pm-Midnight by playing some of his best hits and serving speciality cocktails like Purple Rain, Extra Touch and 1999.

A number of fans are also currently congregating at Prince Street to pay their respects. Check back for updates as we hear about more events.
