In a world of dollar slices and artisinal pies, sometimes you just need a classic, an old standby that can quench your pizza thirst like no other 'za can (and hey, there's a reason Joe's continuously makes our list of the best New York pizza.) Greenwich Village institution and staple slice joint Joe's Pizza is slated to open at 216 Bedford Ave. at North 5th Street mid-June. Owner Joe Pozzuoli Jr. says that the new outpost will be family run and operated, and additionally will be located on a corner just like their very first shop. This is the third Joe's Pizza location in NYC, and you'll still be able to snag a cheese slice for $2.75. If you can't make it till mid-month for your Joe's fix, be sure to stop by their village location at 7 Carmine St.
