Winter Has Come: It’s officially snowing today

Blink while you’re outside today and you may accidentally miss it, but those little white flakes falling from the sky are, indeed, snow. Hope you’ve finished squirreling away your Shake Shack for the winter!

The National Weather Service is currently reporting the temperature in Central Park at 40 degrees, with a wind chill of 36 degrees. The scattered flurries will last until 3pm, followed by scattered sprinkles and flurries between 3pm and 4pm, and more scattered flurries after 4pm. Because no one ever said snow was a quitter!

There’s also a wind advisory in effect until 10pm across the city today with gusts up to 50 mph possible.

The skies will clear up tomorrow with a positively balmy high of 43 degrees.
