You can camp on this hotel's roof for $2,000 a night

Forget the great outdoors—the concrete jungle is the best place to go camping. Admittedly, this rooftop suite is swankier than the flimsy pup tents and bare-bones campfires found in the woods, but it’s still helping turn NYC into one giant summer camp.

Sleep under the stars (the few stars you can see in NYC, anyway) on the Midtown roof in this the Outdoor Glamping Suite. The rooftop wonderland was created in the Extreme Wow Suite on the 17th floor of the W Hotel by Laurel & Wolf, and the photos alone are enough to inspire you to redecorate your apartment—check out those twinkly lights, rattan hanging chairs and a rainbow of pillows.

It's open now through November, and you can book the terrace overnight for $2,000—that includes a bottle of champagne and access to the cozy yurt, a fire pit and lounge chairs. Then you can decide: Is it more or less magical than renting a treehouse for the night?
