Your spring allergies could be worse than usual this year

We have some bad news for those who suffer from spring allergies.

Due to the unseasonably warm weather we've been having this year (thanks global warming!) allergens are on their way, and they're coming with a vengeance. In addition to warmer temperatures, rainy and windy conditions—which New Yorkers have also been experiencing a fair share of lately—cause pollen to release into the air. This means the pollen count is expected to peak up to a month earlier this season.

According to Weather Underground, NYC is already at medium pollen levels. (You can keep tabs on the pollen index on their site here.) Allergy sufferers are being urged to seek treatment early by getting an allergy test or simply stocking up on the Zyrtec.

Good luck to you my fellow sniffers as we prepare for that impending pollen count!
