Cynthia Carr

Writer and cultural critic Cynthia Carr (also identifiable by her byline C. Carr) found a great subject in downtown artist David Wojnarowicz. Her thorough new biography, Fire in the Belly, recounts his life, art and early AIDS-related death in 1992 from an up-close-and-personal perspective.
