You'll be hard-pressed to find many books about Jesus's foreskin (which, until it mysteriously disappeared in the 1980s, was supposedly located in Calcata, Italy), let alone tomes that combine relic history with a travelogue that includes a town full of hippies and illicit Vatican dealings. David Farley deftly handles all of the above in An Irreverent Curiosity, the paperback release of which is celebrated tonight with a reading (and, rumor has it, a supermodel or two).
