Tonight marks the publication of the first three books in Furnace Press's Decomposition series, each of which explores an abandoned site of note in New York State with pictures and text. One roams Staten Island (The End of New York by Jean Kahler and Jessica Rowe), another examines grain elevators in Buffalo (Elevator Alley by Michael Cook and Andrew Emond) and the third walks into an old hotel in the Catskills (Grossinger's: City of Refuge and Illusion by Jonathan Haeber).
