Emily St. John Mandel

In past projects, Brooklyn-based Canadian transplant Mandel (a staff writer for lit site the Millions) has shown a taste for literary detective fiction. Her latest book, The Lola Quartet, is the tale of a journalist, forced to return to his Florida hometown, who begins searching for a daughter he didn't know existed.
