Knopf and Tumblr Present Poet Laureate Philip Levine

This multiple-award-winning writer and editor, who is currently serving as the U.S. Poet Laureate, has had a productive career. The Detroit native is best known for his poems about the working class in his home state, which have been collected in volumes including The Simple Truth and What Work Is, but after more than 50 years of writing, Levine's free verse has wandered everywhere you can imagine.
