Leanne Shapton

Shapton has produced a number of works directed by images, be they paintings or photographs, but her new Swimming Studies is the first to be driven by prose. The autobiographical tale trails Shapton from her time as an Olympic hopeful to becoming a casual swimmer, looking at how her life in the water influenced her life in art.
