Michael Ondaatje

This Canadian man of letters is a poet and editor, though he's most celebrated for novels including epic Booker Prize–winning The English Patient. His new fiction centers around a trio of boys traveling from Sri Lanka (where Ondaatje was also born) to England in the 1950s.
