Sarah Waters

Sarah Waters was once known as a writer of lesbian Victoriana, but she's been shaking off that reputation one adjective at a time. Her latest novel, The Little Stranger, takes place in 1947 and (sadly) offers not a glimmer of sapphic seduction. There is, however, plenty that's queer here, in the broadest sense of the word.
