The World's Most Literary Rent Party Ever

The wife of novelist Charles Bock has been battling leukemia, and an amazing number of New York literary luminaries will appear tonight to raise money for her ongoing treatment. With such a good cause, and a lineup that includes Jonathan Franzen, Jonathan Safran Foer, Mary Gaitskill, Susan Cheever, Joshua Ferris, Rivka Galchen, Amy Hempel, A.M. Homes, Mary-Beth Hughes, Nicole Krauss, Rick Moody, Richard Price, George Saunders, Gary Shteyngart, Wesley Stace, Hannah Tinti and Sean Wilsey, of course the event is sold out. Donations are still being accepted at the event's website, however.
