The Wordless Music Orchestra performs in what should be one of the summer's most beguiling concerts: a screening of director-composer Benh Zeitlin's extraordinary 2012 Deep South fantasy film, with the score played live by the orchestra, Zeitlin and fellow composer Dan Romer. By turns luminous, gritty and otherworldly, the score lives up to the considerable challenge of matching Zeitlin's brilliant images and cast. Brooklyn Balkan-brass crew Slavic Soul Party! sets the stage. (Due to bad weather expected on the original date, this concert has been rescheduled for Sunday, August 11.)
