Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra

Benjamin Zander, a venerated conductor whose first-rate achievements with second-tier ensembles have rightly earned him a global following, comes to Carnegie Hall with his prodigious Boston youth ensemble. The program includes Verdi's overture to La forza del destino, selections from Michael Gandolfi's entrancing The Garden of Cosmic Speculation, Ravel's Piano Concerto in G (with soloist Christopher O'Riley) and Shostakovich's Symphony No. 5.
