Clarinetist Carol Robinson and cellist Frances-Marie Uitti, both Americans based abroad and both widely renowned for extending the technical and expressive capabilities of their instruments, arrive at last for concerts postponed by Hurricane Sandy. The program on Apr 5 includes a jointly composed premiere, alongside compositions by Eliane Radigue, Jonathan Harvey, Giacinto Scelsi and Annie Gosfield; on Apr 6, the pair improvises with trumpeter Nate Wooley and percussionist Satoshi Takeishi. Robinson and Uitti will also deliver lectures about their work on Apr 6 at 5pm; admission is free, though a $10 donation is suggested.
