Crash Ensemble

This potent Irish new-music group, directed by composer Donnacha Dennehy and conducted by Alan Pierson (of Alarm Will Sound and Brooklyn Philharmonic renown), surrounds the two extraordinary vocal pieces from Dennehy's Nonesuch debut CD, Grá agus Bás and That the Night Come, with traditional Irish music and selections by Osvaldo Golijov. Along for the ride are the two superb singers heard on Dennehy's disc, Dawn Upshaw and Iarla Ó Lionáird.
