In conjunction with the sound-art exhibition "Soundings: A Contemporary Score," now on display at MoMA, Danish artist Jacob Kirkegaard presents two evenings of his fascinating audio creations. On Fri 16 at Eyebeam, Kirkegaard presents Labryrinthitis, in which he employs tones from his own inner ear to exploit audible harmonic phenomena in the ears of his listeners. Eldfjall, at Silent Barn on Sun 18, involves the elemental rumble of field recordings gathered at two active Icelandic volcanoes.
