Time Out says

Mieczysław Weinberg, a Polish Jewish composer active in Soviet-era Russia, is the subject of heightened interest lately, thanks to a series of potent CDs and the news that his opera The Passenger is coming to the Park Avenue Armory this summer. Here, violinist Gidon Kremer and his superb band showcase two works from a new ECM set devoted to Weinberg's music, along with Shostakovich's quirky pocket opera Antiformal Rayok and pieces by Britten and Arvo Pärt.
