Lalla Roukh

Opera Lafayette, an adventurous, accomplished historical-repertoire company based in New York and Washington, D.C., mounts a genuine rarity: Félicien David's 1862 work Lalla Roukh, a lively adventure set on the road from Delhi to Samarkand. Bernard Deletré directs a sumptuously costumed staging with the Indian dance company Kalanidhi Dance; Ryan Brown conducts a cast that includes Deletré, Emiliano Gonzalez Toro, Nathalie Paulin and Marianne Fiset.
