Maki Namekawa

Given that Philip Glass's label gave this pianist first crack at recording the composer's second book of etudes, you know she's authoritative in his music. Selections from the Glass oeuvre naturally appear in Namekawa's recital at SubCulture, too, though there are some surprises in store as well (including pieces by Shostakovich and Keith Jarrett).
