Multidisciplinary cabal Pioneers Go East Collective mounts a double bill of experimental operas on visionary themes. Maria Celeste (Galileo), about a cloistered nun's reaction to her visionary inventor father, stars Megan Schubert, and Hildegard (vision), a video-opera installation inspired by the medieval abbess of the title, features Gina Bonati. Both events are directed by Gian Marco Lo Forte and Daniel Allen Nelson, with design by Abby Felder and music by Christian Frederickson.
