Far more than just a pretty face (though he's assuredly that), baritone Nathan Gunn is an intelligent singer with dramatic skills to spare, and an innate charisma that makes everything he does connect. Here, in a recital postponed from February, he's accompanied by wife Julie Gunn at the piano for songs by Ben Moore, Roger Quilter, Charles Ives and more; the Pacifica Quartet joins both Gunns for a new chamber version of Jennifer Higdon's Dooryard Bloom.
