The Phil's music director, Alan Gilbert, leads soprano and diva supreme Renée Fleming through the world premiere of song cycle The Strand Settings by Swedish composer Anders Hillborg. Sharing the bill are Respighi's lively Fountains of Rome and Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, featuring a theatrical orchestration by Maurice Ravel.
