Prelude to Performance

The Martina Arroyo Foundation's young-artists program mounts its annual offering of two completely staged and costumed operas at Hunter College's Kaye Playhouse, a good way to catch a first glimpse of tomorrow's stars today. This year's productions are Offenbach's delectable (and difficult!) Les Contes d'Hoffmann (July 11, 13) and Donizetti's charming L'Elisir d'Amore (July 12, 14).
