The Secret Opera company mounts a pair of linked monodramas by rising star composer Daniel Felsenfeld, whose work you might have heard on orchestral sections of the Roots' undun or on a recent program in the New York Philharmonic's first Biennial. Soprano Alexis Rodda will inhabit two different iconic characters in this two-part opus. In the first half, she'll inhabit Nora from Ibsen's A Doll's House (with text taken from Will Eno's Nora, In the Great Outdoors). In the latter act, she'll play the role of Lewis Carroll's Alice (based on the adapted Wonderland of author Robert Coover's imagination). Nell Flanders conducts, and Sarah Outhwaite directs.
