New York has seen a lot more of pianist, composer and minimalist guru Terry Riley since his son, guitarist Gyan Riley, moved to Brooklyn a few years back. The family duo mines jazz, Indian classical music, improvisation and minimalist structures—not to mention their shared DNA—for a transcendent evening of music.
