The Grand Tour

The Met Museum opens its fall season in a suitably genteel manner, with an open-house event featuring performances of Renaissance and Baroque music by Tenet, Dark Horse Consort, Quicksilver, harpsichordist Jory Vinikour and other leading early-music performers, surrounded by historically resonant works in the museum's freshly reinstalled New European Paintings Galleries, 1250–1800.
