The celebrated group is going all in on Brahms, during a three-concert run at 92Y. The kickoff set on Oct 23 includes the composer's String Quartet in C minor, Op. 51, No. 1—as well as the Quintet for Clarinet and Strings in B minor and the Sonata for Viola and Piano in E-flat major. (Sharon Kam will guest on clarinet, while Inon Barnatan will play the piano part in the Quintet.) On Oct 25, Brahms's String Quartet in A minor gets a hearing, in addition to other Sonata and Quintet chasers. The run concludes on Oct 29, with the B-flat major Quartet, plus other works.
